How verification works

1

Enter the reference or scan the QR code

The certificate PDF includes a reference number (DN-2026-XXXXXX) at the top and a QR code at the bottom. Either one lets you start verification.

2

Check against the registry

Our verification system checks the entry against the governed clearance registry — the cryptographic record of every certificate issued.

3

See the result

Confirmation displays the certificate status, issuing date, certificate type, and certifying doctor — independently verifiable on the spot.

What employers can verify

Pre-April 2026 certificates

Certificates issued before April 2026 use a different verification path:

Why DoctorsNote certificates are verifiable

Most online certificates can't be verified. Every DoctorsNote certificate can.

Named GP, not an anonymous pool

Every certificate is reviewed by Dr Rupinder Singh Walia, FRACGP — AHPRA MED0001647256. The verification result names the same doctor every time.

Cryptographic registry

Each certificate is recorded in a cryptographic verification registry at issue time. Authenticity is provable, not asserted.

QR code on every certificate

The QR code links directly to the verification record — your site manager or HR lead can confirm authenticity in three seconds.

Governed certificate workflow

Application, clinical review, and registry entry happen under a single governed workflow. The certificate, the audit log, and the verification page are tied together.

Verification FAQ

About the Governed Certificate Verification system.

What information do I need to verify a certificate?
You need the certificate reference number (format DN-2026-XXXXXX) which appears at the top of the certificate, or you can scan the QR code on the certificate PDF directly with your phone camera. No account or login is required.
Can I verify a certificate by phone?
For privacy reasons we do not confirm certificate details over the phone. Use the online verification system above, or email doc@doctorsnote.com.au with the certificate reference number and we will confirm authenticity within 24 hours.
What does a valid verification result look like?
A valid verification displays the issuing date, certificate type (sick leave, carer's leave, fit-to-work), the certifying doctor's name (Dr Rupinder Singh Walia) and AHPRA registration number, and a clear "Verified" status. Authentic certificates show all four pieces of information.
What should I do if verification fails?
If the verification returns no record, the certificate may be fraudulent or the reference number may have been entered incorrectly. Double-check the reference (format: DN-2026-XXXXXX) and the QR code, then contact us at doc@doctorsnote.com.au and we will investigate within 24 hours.
Is the verification system available 24/7?
Yes. The online verification system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Manual support via email is available with responses within 24 hours.
