Just like a face-to-face GP consultation, the $14.95 standard-certificate fee covers Dr Walia's clinical assessment. If a certificate is clinically appropriate, it is included at no additional cost. If criteria are not met, the fee covers the review work completed — the same way a GP charges for a consultation whether or not a script or certificate is issued.
What you will not be charged for
No monthly subscriptions — you pay once, for one certificate
No surge pricing — the price does not change on Monday mornings, public holidays, or school term breaks
No rotating doctors — the same GP reviews every certificate
No automatic renewals — there is nothing to cancel
No backdating fees — we do not backdate certificates under any circumstance
No refunds after clinical review — the $14.95 standard-certificate fee covers Dr Walia's time reviewing your application, not just the certificate
Why DoctorsNote is Proper
When you're genuinely unwell and your workplace asks for proof, you need a real medical certificate that's actually reviewed by a doctor — not auto-approved in seconds.
At DoctorsNote, every certificate is personally reviewed and signed by the same experienced AHPRA-registered GP. It also includes a QR code and unique reference number so your employer can verify it instantly if needed.
One flat standard-certificate fee of $14.95 — whether you need it for one day or two. No re-pricing. No phone appointments. No hidden costs. Fit-to-work starts from $29.95 and mental-health certificates use a separate $29.95 pathway.
Yes. That is the full and only charge. There are no additional fees, priority charges, or subscription enrolments.
Do you offer discounts for multiple certificates?
Each certificate requires its own clinical review, so standard certificate pricing is $14.95 per certificate. Fit-to-work starts from $29.95 and mental-health certificates use a separate $29.95 pathway. For employer accounts with volume requirements, please see our employer page.
Is the $14.95 charge refundable if I am not issued a certificate?
Once your application is submitted and clinical review has commenced, the $14.95 standard-certificate fee is not refundable — regardless of whether a certificate is issued. The fee covers Dr Walia's clinical review itself, not the certificate. Refunds are only issued in cases of technical error (for example, duplicate payment or form submission failure). If you are unsure about eligibility, please check with our chat assistant before submitting your application.
How do I pay?
Secure card payment and PayPal. Payment is processed at the end of the application form, before certificate issuance.
Why do some sites advertise cheaper prices?
Cheaper advertised prices are often base prices before surge fees, priority-processing fees, or monthly subscription enrolments. The $14.95 standard-certificate price you see on this page is the full cost at DoctorsNote.
Every DoctorsNote certificate is personally reviewed by Dr Walia. With 28 years of clinical practice across Australia and Malaysia, he ensures clinical accountability on every application.
