Our Clinical Process & Governance
How every Doctors Note certificate is issued — personally reviewed by a named AHPRA-registered GP, logged in our CASI governance system, with a full audit trail and QR verification.
One named, accountable GP
Every certificate is personally reviewed and issued by Dr Rupinder Singh Walia (FRACGP, AHPRA MED0001647256) — one named GP, not a rotating pool. That means consistent clinical decisions, and a single accountable practitioner standing behind every certificate.
How a certificate is issued
- You apply onlineChoose your certificate type, pay the flat $14.95 standard-certificate fee, and complete a short clinical questionnaire.
- Dr Walia personally reviews itDoctors Note does not auto-approve certificates in seconds — a named GP assesses your situation, not an algorithm.
- Issued or declinedIf clinically appropriate, your certificate is issued with a unique reference and QR code and emailed within 24 hours. If it is not appropriate, it is declined; the flat fee covers the GP’s clinical assessment either way.

When we don’t issue a certificate
A genuine clinical review means some applications are declined. Dr Walia will not issue a certificate where:
- an in-person examination is the appropriate setting (complex, ongoing or serious conditions) — he will recommend you see a GP face-to-face;
- the request is to backdate a certificate — we certify the date of assessment, not the past;
- the information provided does not support a certificate.
A certificate that can be declined is a certificate worth trusting.
Clinical governance & audit trail (CASI)
Every certificate is logged in our clinical governance system, CASI. That creates a full audit trail — the date you applied, the date Dr Walia reviewed it, the reference number and the QR verification code. Employers can verify authenticity in seconds; Fair Work can trace the clinical review if it is ever questioned; and you have proof that a named doctor assessed your situation, not an algorithm.
How verification works
Every certificate carries a unique reference number and a QR code linking to an independent verification page. Your employer scans or enters it and confirms the certificate, the issuing GP and the AHPRA registration in seconds — without seeing your diagnosis, which stays private under the Australian Privacy Principles.
